What happened to Day Davis? 90 minutes before he was killed on his first day of work as a temporary employee, Day texted a picture of himself to his girlfriend, excited for their future. Day’s sister now searches for answers as an investigation reveals a hidden epidemic of injury and death on the job threatening millions of American workers.
We start with a brief introduction by Dave DeSario – Executive Producer of A Day’s Work. The 54-minute film will be followed by a panel discussion on workplace safety, public policy, and workers’ rights, connecting the film to local issues and action.
Audience members will have an opportunity to engage with community leaders, local professionals, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health faculty, and the film’s executive producer. Popcorn and soft-drinks will be provided.
The movie will be screened at the CLSB 1A001
