Are you passionate about promoting the well-being of OHSU students? Student Health is seeking a reliable, flexible and self-motivated Student Worker to join our Student Well-Being team, focused on wellness programming and outreach.

The mission of Student Health & Wellness is to support the health and well-being of OHSU students and postdoctoral fellows during their academic careers at OHSU. Our providers and staff work hard to provide exceptional and confidential primary care, behavioral health care, wellness programming, and food resources for our approximately 3,000 OHSU students and postdocs.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: To be determined. 12-15 hours per week, generally between Monday – Friday 9:00am – 7:00pm, and can be adjusted based on the student’s academic schedule.

Function/Duties of Position

As a Wellness Student Worker, you will play a valuable role in helping develop and offer programming and resources to support student well-being. Some general duties are expected to include:

  • Supporting with student well-being programming, events and initiatives and assisting with planning and growth. This position will likely help with behind-the-scenes and logistical support as well as with co-creating wellness content and periodically co-facilitating activities and/or meetings.
  • Helping with analyzing, reporting on, and implementing findings from an in-depth student wellness and basic needs survey.
  • Assisting with many other tasks, including but not limited to: gathering information, entering data, creating surveys in Qualtrics, periodically posting fliers on campus, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned, plus may be based on students’ skill sets and/or interests.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in, on vacation from, or otherwise registered in a Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours) or Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours).
  • Experience creating and/or sharing content related to well-being, such as mindfulness, stress, sleep, connection, and/or other topics relevant to health professions students.
  • Experience finding, reading, citing and summarizing research articles.
  • Comfort with technology and ability to quickly learn various OHSU software systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately and independently, while also being a key member of a team.
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality with student information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to serve as a positive and professional representative of Student Health in all interactions, including via email, phone or in-person.
  • Ability to perform the job duties with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an OHSU degree program, OR in a Graduate or Postbacc program in a field related to health promotion, social work, counseling, higher education, or related fields.
  • Must be at least a half-time student (and thus eligible for this position) through at least June 2025, preferably longer.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting on data, especially as part of a research study.
  • Experience creating and designing health communication materials, such as fliers and handouts.
  • Flexible, open and helpful attitude and communication style, and willingness to assist with various projects across Student Health functions.
  • Experience with and strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
