Continuum of Care Internship
The Oregon Primary Care Association is open to interns who can work on various projects. These internships are designed for students seeking practice or field experience as part of the completion of their graduate degree at an accredited program. Priority will be given to students pursuing their degrees in the state of Oregon.

The HIV/STI Program at the Oregon Primary Care Association delivers innovative, evidenced-based education and training programs to improve both access to care and quality of life for people who are living with or are at increased risk of acquiring HIV.
The HIV/STI Program is seeking an intern to support the implementation of the HIV Continuum of Care Conference in October 2025.
Students who are completing academic degrees (particularly related to public health) in Oregon are encouraged to apply. The project description below can be altered based on the preferred internship timeline and requirements.
Project Description
The HIV Continuum of Care Conference is a biennial, free training event for anyone in Oregon in a professional role to support patients along the HIV Care Continuum from prevention through viral suppression. The 2025 conference will take place October 21-23, 2025 and will be held in-person in Portland, OR. There is not an online or virtual component to this event.
An intern supporting this conference may:
- Attend and support planning committee meetings with community partners
- Communicate with conference presenters to support conference content development
- Coordinate volunteers at the event
- Facilitate conference sessions on topics of interest
- Analyze data from conference evaluations and write a summary report highlighting which training topics will most impact systems level improvements in Oregon.
- Coordinate and support community organizations who table at the conference
The intern for this project will be in a public facing role and will interact with partner agencies, volunteers, and people tabling at the event.
