2025 Johns Hopkins Advocacy Action Lab

Website Johns Hopkins Advocacy Action Lab
Advocacy is an essential skill for public health professionals seeking to create meaningful, lasting change. Building the capacity to engage policymakers, mobilize communities, and influence public opinion is critical to advancing the health and well-being of populations.
We celebrate and encourage these efforts, which demonstrate how academic public health can amplify its impact through advocacy. By equipping faculty, staff, and students with these skills, we strengthen the future of public health leadership.
One exciting opportunity now open for applications is the 2025 Johns Hopkins Advocacy Action Lab. This hybrid training program is designed for faculty and staff affiliated with academic health institutions, including schools of public health. The program features a full-day, in-person session on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Washington, DC, along with virtual monthly meet-ups from May through September 2025.
Participants will:
- Build core advocacy skills
- Workshop real-world policy issues
- Gain actionable insights to advance public health goals
Scholarships are available, and participants are eligible for CME, CHES, and CPH credits. The program cost is $3,400, but applicants who apply by May 2, 2025 using the code FridayLetter will receive an exclusive $1,000 discount.
