Public Health Policy in Oregon

Join us for the second in a series of three sessions focusing on the organizations and partners that make up the public health system.

The topic of this session is Public Health Policy. It will cover the public health policy development process, OARs and ORSs that drive local public health authority, and a review of legislation that has changed how public health functions in Oregon. Including examples from the field and an application exercises in finding and navigating public health statutes.

On February 23rd, 2023, CLHO and the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health hosted the second part of the Oregon Public Health System webinar series: Public Health Policy in Oregon. This interactive webinar featured guest speakers from the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Public Health Association and provided an introduction to topics such as: the public health policy development process, key public health statutes, and the role of public health organizations in the policy development process.
