Exploring algorithmic bias and its impact on health research and clinical practice

The OCTRI Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) program is offering a new seminar in our Anti-racism in Data and Analysis series on Friday, March 24, 12–1pm. This seminar, co-sponsored by Informatics, serves to introduce the topic of algorithmic bias, and we hope to sponsor more in-depth seminars on this topic in the future. This initial event is appropriate for anyone wanting to learn about algorithmic bias.

It will be a journal club style seminar held via Zoom. Attendees will be expected to read a paper and listen to part of a recorded Brookings talk in preparation of the discussion.
