ECHO Public Health Preceptor

This ECHO seeks to develop more confident public health preceptors who are better equipped to support public health students through an applied practice experience resulting in increased opportunities for students to explore a career with underserved populations. We also aim to build leadership skills and increase job satisfaction of preceptors.
Topics will include:
- Internship logistics
- Scoping and managing a project
- Best practices and skills for giving and receiving feedback
- Orienting learners to local and state public health context – including historical context
Details
Audience: Public health professionals interested in becoming preceptors. This is not limited to management, we encourage all staff to attend. Note that this program does not address clinical rotations.
Schedule: 6 sessions. Tuesdays, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Pacific time, Sept. 17, Oct. 1, 15 and 29; Nov. 12 and 19.
