Communications At The OHSU-PSU SPH

The COMS Team is responsible for crafting and disseminating a wide range of marketing, branding, outreach, and communications services that accurately represent our School to our community.

This dedicated team plays a pivotal role in showcasing the school’s image, promoting its programs, events and achievements, and engaging with various stakeholders including students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader community.

BRANDING & IDENTITY

We are tasked with developing and maintaining the school’s brand identity. This includes creating and managing logos, abiding by the SPH style guide, and creating visual assets that represent the school’s values and mission.

MARKETING CAMPAIGNS

We design and co-create with internal stakeholders to execute marketing campaigns that attract prospective students. This involves creating compelling content, utilizing social media platforms, and producing promotional materials for print and the website.

PUBLIC & MEDIA RELATIONS

Managing the School’s relationships with the media through OHSU and PSU channels, we ensure that positive news and stories about the school are shared with the public. This includes press releases, media interviews, and crisis communication management.

WEBSITE & DIGITAL PRESENCE

Maintaining an up-to-date and user-friendly website is a crucial aspect of our role. We also manage the school’s social media accounts, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with the online community.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

Effective communication within the school is equally important. We help ensure that information flows smoothly between the various groups within SPH, internally and externally.

GRAPHIC DESIGN & CONTENT CREATION

We are responsible for creating visually appealing and informative materials, including brochures, posters, videos, and multimedia content.

EVENT PROMOTION

We promote school events, such as open houses, fundraisers, symposiums, workshops and conferences. We ensure that all communication efforts to promote events is coordinated through a communication plan. We ensure that the promotional materials for these events align with the school’s branding and messaging.

Email the COMS Manager as soon as possible at sphcomms@ohsu.edu.

She’ll be able to connect with our OHSU or PSU media relations partner to prep you for a media interview.
