School of Public Health graduate students are required to document compliance with COVID-19 vaccine policies at both OHSU and PSU – you must do this separately for each university. More information below.
UPDATE: 1/7/2022: PSU’s vaccination policy will change soon to require booster shots for those who are eligible. If you have submitted verification of your vaccine status through the University’s online system, no additional action is necessary at this point. The requirement will take some time to implement and finalize, and we’ll share your next steps as soon as we can. In the meantime, we urge you to get a booster as soon as you are eligible.
WINTER 2022 UPDATE: In response to Covid-19, some School of Public Health Winter 2022 courses originally planned for in-person delivery instead will meet either remotely, or in a hybrid remote/in-person format. Please be sure to check the SPH course schedule for your courses’ delivery mode.
If your course is listed as “hybrid”: Hybrid courses offer the opportunity for reduced face-to-face (in person) contact. Some instructors may choose to meet remotely, at the originally scheduled meeting times, for the initial week(s) of the term, then transition to increased in-person, on-campus delivery. The days and times for class meeting times will not change, and your instructor will contact you to let you know their plan for hybrid instruction and transition to in-person meetings.

We want to ensure you have updated information about Covid-19 safety measures on our partner university campuses. Both Oregon Health & Science University and Portland State University have implemented comprehensive safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including requiring all students, faculty, and staff be vaccinated against the virus, and to wear masks at all times when indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
We will continue to work with our public health partners and follow their guidance on mask-wearing and physical distancing to make our campuses, classrooms, and offices as safe as possible. Please follow the links below to learn more about the safety protocols and vaccine requirements at OHSU and PSU.
Vanport Building
This fall, the offices of the School of Public Health, including its faculty and staff, moved to the Vanport Building. Per PSU’s Mask and Face Covering Policy, all students, faculty, staff, and visitors must wear a mask or face covering while indoors in all locations in the building.
