The PSU Women’s Resource Center, located on the PSU campus at 1802 SW 10th & Montgomery, offers programs, resources, and services to support women’s leadership, empowerment, and community.

The PSU Queer Resource Center is in Smith Memorial Student Union in Suite 458. It offers resources and programming to support students along the sexuality and gender spectrum. The Center includes a lounge area, computer workstations, and a resource-lending library.

Student Health & Dental Insurance

All SPH students are required to carry health insurance. Students in the Graduate Certificate in Public Health program excepted.

PSU registrants will be enrolled in PSU’s Student Health Insurance Plan – PSU INSURANCE PLAN

Students with equivalent insurance coverage may submit an insurance waiver application to their respective institution.

Students who encounter sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual assault, or discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, national origin or ancestry, veteran or military status, sex, marital status, pregnancy or parenting status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or any other protected status, should contact the Equity & Compliance office within PSU’s Office of Global Diversity and Inclusion:

Title IX

Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972 prohibits sex/gender discrimination in educational institutions. Inquiries about Title IX compliance or sex/gender discrimination and harassment at the PSU Office of Equity & Compliance. They are responsible for monitoring Portland State University’s Title IX compliance. PSU’s Title IX Coordinator is Julie Caron, (503) 725-4410, jucaron@pdx.edu.
