In this three-part interactive workshop series, we will introduce participants to the concepts of intersectionality, positionality, and reflexivity (one each week). Attention will be given to how the incorporation of these practices can improve the reach and impact of research. Sessions will be held on three consecutive Fridays – April 26, May 3, and May 10 – from 1:30 to 3:00pm (90 mins).
- April 26: Intersectionality, presented by Natassja Pal and Kyla Tompkins
- May 3: Positionality, presented by Megan Lafferty and Summer Newell
- May 10: Reflexivity, presented by Anaïs Tuepker
The series content was developed by: Liz Hulen, Megan Lafferty, Summer Newell, Sarah Ono, Natassja Pal, Kyla Tompkins, Anaïs Tuepker, and Dylan Waller, with support from the Center to Improve Veteran Involvement in Care (CIVIC) and the Veterans Rural Health Resource Center, both at the VA Portland Health Care System.
