You are invited to attend the 3rd annual Stats & Stanzas poetry and public health event on Friday April 11 from 6-9pm at Irving Street Studio at Ecotrust Building.

This event will wrap up our School’s celebration of National Public Health Week! More on NPHW coming soon!

Stats & Stanzas — developed by SPH Professor Ryan Petteway and Sylvia Rivera (MPH ’23) in 2023 through an antiracism faculty fellowship award — offers a necessary space for healing, resistance, and resurgence towards health equity. In pursuit of racial and health justice, this event illuminates the necessity of both Stats *and* Stanzas to humanize our work and create public health futures of ‘radical possibility’.

This year’s event will feature special guest poets Jae Nichelle and Sage Spicer Orak, guest musician Nafisaria Mathews, a guest DJ spinning Public Health MixTape-inspired tracks, a poetry competition, free food, and lots of love.
