Assemble Goodie Bags for Homebound Seniors
November 21 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week
Create goodie bags for our homebound neighbors this Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week!
Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (Nov 17th- 23rd) is an annual program where people come together across the country to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness. We’ll be holding a series of events over the course of the week with several community partners, one being Store to Door!
Store to Door supports independent living for Portland area seniors and people with disabilities by providing an affordable, personal, volunteer-based grocery shopping and delivery service. Store to Door envisions the Portland area to be a community where all seniors and people with disabilities are nourished, included, and can age with dignity in the setting of their own choice.
For this project, Store to Door will provide us with the materials to create 100 goodie bags to send with their grocery orders! We will fill a bag with holiday card, sweet treats, and a free delivery coupon.
We will meet in Org Space (M108) in the Smith Memorial Student Union from 12:00-1:30 PM. Be there or be square!
