Dreaming Disability Justice in a Time of Genocide, Organizing and Hope

Join the Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies for our annual Walk of the Heroines lecture and spring “Build As We Fight” Mellon grant event with Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha.

Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha (they/she) is the author or co-editor of ten books, including The Future Is Disabled, Beyond Survival: Strategies and Stories from the transformative justice movement.
 
The talk will take place on Zoom with an in-person live watch party with refreshments on the Portland State Campus (PSU Smith Memorial Student Union – 294). Both events are free and open to the public. CART transcription and ASL interpretation will be provided. Masks required for the in-person event–extras will be available.
