Faculty & Staff: Cultural Awareness Training Program

Join us for a student led, three-part series exploring the diverse identities, histories, and experiences of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AA & PI) communities. We’ll unpack common misconceptions, challenge harmful stereotypes like the model minority myth, and address systemic data erasure.
Throughout the series, we’ll also discuss ways to foster belonging by tackling imposter syndrome, microaggressions, and other barriers.
More than just allyship, this is about taking action—using real strategies to challenge inequities, drive systemic change, and create truly inclusive spaces for AA & PI students at Portland State University.

Dates: April 4, May 2, June 13 (attendance required for all three)
Time: 11 AM – 1 PM (lunch provided)
Location: In-person at PSU (locations vary)
