Don’t miss HealthInsight’s Third Annual Quality Conference in Salem, Oregon, on October 26, 2017 where you’ll learn from local leaders and national experts who will address today’s challenges and share strategies for engaging patients and improving quality, safety and value in health care. The conference is underwritten by a federal grant, and is offered at no charge to the participants.

Our objective: to activate change agents by promoting health care transformation strategies across the health system continuum.

This is a great opportunity to discover new approaches for better care and collaborate with other health care professionals to identify actions for putting these strategies into practice. Our keynote speaker, Angelo Volandes, MD, is a pioneer in advance care planning, who will talk with us about how to incorporate end-of-life care conversations in our interactions. Other sessions include

  • End-of-life care perspectives and practice (panel discussion)
  • Community care coordination via Health IT (focus on EDIE/PreManage)
  • Team-based care and accessing non-opioid treatment for chronic pain
  • Medicare Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) essentials
  • Tapping into Oregon’s Diabetes Prevention Program

New this year: the Pitch Your Change competition! HealthInsight invites proposals from conference participants to pitch their project ideas for improving health or care, related to conference core topics. HealthInsight Oregon will select proposals for the submitters to “pitch” to other participants during the conference. The pitch receiving the most votes from participants will receive a $1,000 grand prize toward the proposed project. Deadline for submission of ideas is Friday, September 29.  Click here for a flier with details about the competition, with a link to the application form.
