IHI Public Health Career Profile: Maxine Dexter, MD

The OHSU-PSU IHI (Institute for Healthcare Improvement) Open School is hosting a virtual career profile event on Wednesday May 4th at 7pm. House Representative and pulmonary physician Maxine Dexter will be sharing her career story and how she ended up working in public health policy.

Dr. Maxine Dexter is a former physician and current Oregon Representative who served as Chair of the House Healthcare Subcommittee on COVID-19.Maxine was a first generation college student and is passionate about increasing legislative awareness and addressing health inequities.
