Instructor: Rick Mikulski
Date: November 4th
Time: 4-5pm
Register for the November to Zotero Workshop
(Please register by 5pm, Monday, November 2nd.)

Description: This workshop provides an overview of Zotero, a free and open-source citation management tool that allows users to capture, save, and annotate research notes. Zotero is an especially powerful research tool because it can capture records directly from databases, GoogleScholar, websites, and the PSU Catalog. In this tutorial session, we will cover:

  • Basic functions of Zotero;
  • Saving citations;
  • Connecting Zotero to your browser via the free plugin;
  • Importing Zotero citations directly into Microsoft Word documents;
  • Adding your own research notes to citation records;
  • Creating project-specific lists and folders.

To maximize our time, we ask that attendees download Zotero in advance of the session. A detailed walkthrough can be found on our guide.
