OHSU Central Oregon Summer Intern Presentation: “The Development and Administration of a Validated Survey Tool: Assessing Awareness of Resilience-Based Solutions to Trauma”

August 14 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

When: 8:30 am, Tuesday, August 14th
Where: OHSU Vey Auditorium

The Central Oregon Community Research HUB is joining with the OHSU Administrative Internship program to host a “report out” of the work the interns have carried out over the summer. This will be the first opportunity for our remote intern to present her work and I want to personally invite you to attend the presentation and support this very strong intern who will be traveling from Bend for this opportunity.

The OHSU Central Oregon Community Research HUB summer intern, Alex Heisler, is presenting at 8:30 am on “The Development and Administration of a Validated Survey Tool: Assessing Awareness of Resilience-Based Solutions to Trauma”. Alex measured the awareness and mindsets around community resilience after traumatic experiences, specifically in regards to the Trauma, Resilience, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (TRACEs) Central Oregon movement. This presentation includes a description of the process of creating a validated survey tool to measure awareness, including: literature review, item selection, content validation, pilot test, and factor analysis.

In addition, other OHSU interns are presenting in 10 minutes intervals until 12:20 pm so you are welcome to join for all or some of the presentations.
