OHSU’s Asian and Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) Regional Conference
March 16 @ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
OHSU’s Asian and Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) chapter will be hosting a Region VIII conference this year. The conference’s theme will be “Breaking Barriers,” which aims to foster conversations addressing the numerous health disparities and barriers relating to care and access of care faced by the APIA communities. The conference will take place on Saturday February 16, 2019 at OHSU RLSB and will involve medical schools from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Northern California, and Northern Nevada. Allies of the Asian Pacific Islander community are welcome! There will be a pre-medical student workshop, where current OHSU and Western COMP-NW medical students will provide advice on how to apply to medical school. This event is also a good networking opportunity to talk to physicians on shadowing and students from other medical schools regarding their curriculum.
Tickets are $15 (includes breakfast and lunch) and can be purchased here at this site: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2019-apamsa-region-viii-conference-breaking-barriers-tickets-54375244821
