Join the PSU Outdoor Program and grab a friend to go explore Portland!

Students, Staff, and Faculty are invited to participate in an SPH 4t hike. The 4 T trail is one of the most unique ways to see everything Portland has to offer. We’ll meet at the Outdoor Program Office and hop on the Max (train) to the Zoo. From there we’ll hike (trail) the 4 miles to OHSU where you can expect about 800 feet of elevation gain.

The hiking portion will take around 2 hours. From OHSU we will take the tram down to the waterfront and wait for the next streetcar (trolley) to take us back to PSU. Throughout the trip you’ll get to know the other participants more, learn about the Forest Park ecology, and get some movement in.

A pre-trip meeting is scheduled for 5/3/23 at 5:00 pm at the PSU Campus Recreation office (1800 SW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97201). Those who cannot attend this meeting can connect with Campus Rec staff to review pre-trip information.

The ODP will provide all the group gear and specialized technical equipment needed for this trip. You are responsible for obtaining the personal clothing and equipment listed on the event info sheet.

SPH will cover PSU registration fees for current students, staff, or faculty to participate in this event. We will also provide snacks to take on the hike; please pick up snacks during business hours the week before the hike (information will be sent to participants via email).
