Strategic Leadership for Women’s Health Equity and Impact

Dr. Magda Peck is an applied public health scientist, leadership catalyst and story strategist for greater health and equity. As Founder/Principal, MP3 Health Group, she works with leaders, organizations and communities across the country to advance courageous collaboration and strategic storytelling, and translate research and data into action for healthier women, children and families.
 
Academically, Dr. Peck is adjunct Professor of Public Health and Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she co-founded Nebraska’s first MPH Program, College of Public Health, and Public Health Leadership Institute. She later served as Founding Dean, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Zilber School of Public Health, the state’s first accredited school of public health. Dr. Peck also is Founder, former CEO, and ongoing Senior Advisor of CityMatCH, a national public health organization focused on women, children and families in urban communities. She has served as a member of the Institute of Medicine Committee on Clinical Preventive Services for Women, and the HHS Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Infant and Maternal Mortality. Dr. Peck earned Masters and Doctoral degrees from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, in maternal and child health and social policy.
 
Among national recognitions, she received the American Public Health Association Martha May Eliot Award, for ‘a lifetime of service to improving child and maternal health.’ She wakes and works by the San Francisco Bay, on ancestral Ohlone lands.
