SUMMARY:17th Annual Latiné Health Equity Conference
DESCRIPTION:Introducing Familias en Acción’s 17th Annual Latiné Health Equity Conference – “Seguiremos Sanando: Culture\, Identity\, and Collective Well-being.” This year\, our conference focuses on healing – mentally\, emotionally\, physically\, spiritually and socially.   \nThe Latiné community in Oregon is strong\, unique and resourceful despite the lasting harm brought by colonialism\, oppression\, exclusion\, migration\, displacement and violence we have experienced. The current political climate is only furthering trauma and harm\, making the practice of healing imperative.  \nHealing within the context of Familias en Acciòn’s Latiné Health Equity Conference speaks to a comprehensive approach to improving the health and well-being of the Latiné community with the grounding of our language\, values and culture.  Healing is more than treating an illness\, it is about reconnecting with who we are\, sharing our collective stories\, and seeing our cultural practices as core to holistic health. By reclaiming our ancestral knowledge\, honoring traditional healing practices\, and speaking our truths in the language that carries our histories—Spanish\, Indigenous languages\, and Spanglish— we can thrive! \nJoin us for a day of learning\, connection\, and collective healing. \nREGISTER FOR EVENT
