SUMMARY:Conexiones: Caring for Our Communities - Griefwork\, Healing\, and Action
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Center for Learner Diversity & Inclusion (CLDI) we invite you to our annual Hispanic Heritage Month flagship event\, Conexiones: Caring for Our Communities – Griefwork\, Healing\, and Action\, on Wednesday\, September 23\, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. in the OHSU Auditorium. \nThis year’s program\, presented in collaboration with the Portland Immigration Rights Coalition (PIRC)\, will explore griefwork and the experiences of Latine individuals\, families\, and communities impacted by today’s immigration landscape. Through a community-centered panel discussion\, attendees will gain insight into the challenges facing our local communities and consider how these experiences shape health\, well-being\, and the ways we\, as educators\, healthcare professionals\, and institutional leaders\, can respond with compassion\, partnership\, and action. \nAs leaders across OHSU\, your presence would underscore our institution’s commitment to advancing health equity\, strengthening partnerships\, and fostering an environment where every learner\, faculty\, and staff feels seen\, supported\, and valued. We hope you will join us for this important conversation and the opportunity to learn directly from community leaders whose work continues to shape a more just and equitable future. \nRSVP TO EVENT
