SUMMARY:Who Decides How Professionals in Law\, Public Health\, and Higher Education Are Trained and Why it Matters
DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, July 13\, the Alliance for Higher Education will host Who Decides How Professionals in Law\, Public Health\, and Higher Education Are Trained and Why it Matters\, a timely webinar examining how evolving accreditation policies are shaping professional education. ASPPH Chief Academic Officer Linda Alexander will join national leaders from law and higher education to discuss the implications of these changes for workforce preparation\, academic excellence\, and the communities professionals serve. As accreditation standards continue to evolve\, the discussion will explore what these changes mean for the future of professional education across multiple disciplines. \nRecent actions by several professional accrediting organizations have renewed national conversations about who determines the knowledge\, competencies\, and values that shape professional education. As political and legislative pressures increasingly influence accreditation standards\, institutions are navigating a rapidly changing landscape while continuing to prepare graduates to meet the needs of the communities they serve. \nRepresenting ASPPH\, Chief Academic Officer Linda Alexander will join Erwin Chemerinsky\, Dean of the UC Berkeley School of Law; Timothy R. Cain\, Professor at the University of Georgia; and Liliana M. Garces\, Executive Director of the Alliance for Higher Education\, for this timely discussion. Together\, they will explore how accreditation policies influence workforce preparation\, institutional autonomy\, and the ability of professional schools to educate graduates who are prepared to serve an increasingly complex and diverse society. \nASPPH encourages members to attend this important conversation and engage in the ongoing dialogue about the future of professional education and the public good. \nREGISTER FOR EVENT
