DESCRIPTION:As climate change increasingly impacts health outcomes in communities worldwide\, the public health workforce must be prepared to lead across disciplines\, translate evidence into action\, and address complex challenges in innovative ways. To support this growing need\, ASPPH will host Career Spotlight: Building Your Career at the Intersection of Climate and Health on January 28 from 1:00–2:00 PM ET. \nDesigned for early- and mid-career professionals\, this webinar will explore practical pathways into climate and health careers\, highlighting the skills\, experiences\, and perspectives most valuable across academia\, government\, nonprofit organizations\, and practice settings. The discussion will be moderated by Dorothy Biberman\, MPH\, CPH\, Senior Director of Global Engagement and Executive Initiatives\, ASPPH. \nPanelists include Dr. Scott Hemmerling\, PhD\, Associate Professor of Environmental Health\, Climate\, and Sustainability at the Louisiana State University School of Public Health; Dr. Christopher Lemon\, MD\, Faculty Director of Clinical Programs at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health; and Jennie McAdams\, MPH\, REHS\, Environmental Health Program Manager at the Delaware Public Health District.
