James Gaudino

Community Based Professor Epidemiology

Biography

Dr. Jim Gaudino has a Community Based faculty appointment in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health as a Professor in the Epidemiology programs. In this SPH role his work includes mentoring students, collaborating on research with primary faculty members, and working across most program areas.

Dr. Gaudino is a founding member of the OHSU-PSU Gun Violence as a Public Health Issue Advisory Committee. His decades of experience in public health practice and advocacy have been invaluable to the committee’s efforts to organize and build gun violence prevention capacity across both PSU and OHSU institutions. In his work, he seeks to better address the root causes and structural conditions that underlie health inequity.

As a dedicated public health professional, Dr. Gaudino is driven by his respect for and value of all people and for his passion to make a difference in the health and lives of all communities, especially those here in Oregon.
