Kathleen Humphries

Faculty Member Public Health Studies

Biography

Dr. Kathleen Humphries has a faculty appointment in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health in the undergraduate Public Health Studies, Applied Health & Fitness, and Human Lactations programs, and the graduate Health Promotion and Community Health programs. In this SPH role her work includes teaching classes, mentoring students, and collaborating on research with primary faculty.

In addition to her work as a faculty member in SPH, Dr. Humphries is the Public Health Nutrition Programs Manager at Multnomah County Public Health Division. Their nutrition services and breastfeeding services programs have wide reach into the cultural communities and other public health organizations in this area. Their functional partnerships within the community promote equity in public health practice.

Dr. Humphries is also part of the initiative at Multnomah County to increase mentoring, internship, and training opportunities for young healthcare and public health professionals.
