Dr. Kelly Reavis has a secondary faculty appointment in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health in the Epidemiology programs. In this SPH role her work includes teaching courses.
Dr. Reavis is an active and enthusiastic educator and believe strongly in developing the next generation of public health leaders. As a clinician scientist, she is passionate about incorporating public health principles and epidemiologic methods into the field of auditory health and other health sciences.
Her research aims to fill gaps in our foundational understanding of the burden of hearing loss and epidemiologic associations between military exposures and hearing both during and after service, and mechanisms that can explain these effects. Dr. Reavis finds working with students to foster a passion for public health research and practice to be extremely rewarding.
In addition to her work as a faculty member in SPH, Dr. Reavis is a Research Audiologist and Co-Investigator at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Rehabilitation Research and Development, National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research, housed at the VA Portland Health Care System.
