More than 150 experienced faculty from diverse backgrounds.
More than 150 faculty members work within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. They have a wide range of expertise, from monitoring and assessing health risks and opportunities in populations, to helping build health-supporting social environments through policy, advocacy, and programs. They are educators, advisors, researchers, practitioners and community leaders. They come from backgrounds in quantitative, behavioral, environmental and social sciences, policy and government, exercise and health sciences and anthropology, among many other areas. They all work in collaboration with each other and with community partners, and are especially focused on the training and education of future leaders and practitioners in the public health fields.

Laura Zeigen MLIS, MPHOHSU Librarian OHSU-PSU School of Public Health
Dr. Laura Zeigen, MLIS, MPH, has a volunteer secondary appointment in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health (SPH) in Health Management & Policy (HMP) and Health Systems & Policy (HSP) programs. In this role her work includes co-teaching EPI 540/640, guest lecturing in SPH courses, participating as a judge to SPH student posters and presentations, and collaborating on research with primary SPH faculty members.
In addition to her work in SPH, Laura is a Health Sciences Education and Research Librarian and faculty member in the OHSU Library. As an OHSU faculty librarian, she serves all SPH graduate level programs. She partners with faculty and staff to design and deliver educational programming that facilitates learning outcomes related to information literacy, including effective searching, the critical analysis of biomedical information, and information management. Laura’s research interests include the role library instruction plays in creating habits of critical thinking and evidence-based engagement in health professionals, the ways information can be leveraged to address issues of health and health care inequities, and public health informatics.
Laura is a recognized AHIP (Academy of Health Information Professionals) member, credentialed as a health information professional by demonstrating her academic preparation, professional experience, and professional accomplishments.
