Biography

Martin Lipsky is an adjunct professor with the School of Public Health and a member of Portland State’s Institute of Aging. He teaches courses on Mens Health and Health Aspects of Aging.

After many years of full-time academic work including several key administrative positions, Dr. Lipsky transitioned into teaching at PSU and research. Formerly the Chancellor for the Roseman University of Health Science, Dr. Lipsky is part of an interdisciplinary team representing multiple institutions that study issues related to health disparities, men’s health, aging, and health profession’s education. Oral health is another prime interest and an aspect of health whose impact on overall health is often overlooked and underappreciated.

Dr. Lipsky has written several books on primary care and aging. He is on the editorial boards of The Journal of Rural Health, Journal of Clinical Outcomes Management, Internal Medicine Alert, and Disease-a-Month.
