Biography

Dr. Jungbauer, DrPH, MA, has a diverse background in public health, journalism, and clinical research, with specific expertise in systematic review methodology for clinical and behavioral health outcomes. Her areas of focus include chronic diseases, social needs and social risk factors, health equity and disparities, and vaccination; recent research in particular has focused on maternal and child health, reproductive outcomes, cancer screening and preventive services, non-traditional models of care, and food insecurity.
She has a doctorate in public health, an MPH in community health education, and an MA in health journalism.

Research

Dr. Jungbauer’s work includes primary research regarding screening and quality improvement efforts in medically and socially vulnerable populations, as well as secondary research informing practice guidelines for the US Preventive Services Task Force, AHRQ’s Effective Health Care Program, and clinical organizations.
