A great place to make a world of difference

Ending Health Disparity In Oregon and Around The Globe

With a focus on healthy populations rather than individuals, public health seeks to understand the foundations and social determinants of health disparities and works to resolve them.

Two of Oregon’s leading universities have joined forces to train the next generation of public health leaders. At OHSU-PSU School of Public Health, we focus on community-engaged learning and scholarship that puts the student and researcher out in the world, in real communities. With our students, we work to find enduring solutions to today’s public health problems, and are committed to educating students of all backgrounds who want to enter the health field and improve lives in their communities.

Expert Faculty

More than 150 faculty members work within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. Our faculty are experts in a wide range of public health disciplines as researchers, educators, advisers and leaders who help our communities better understand and improve public health.

Public Health Research

Addressing problems in nutrition, maternal health, gun violence, immunizations, health literacy and homelessness can help end health disparities. Our faculty collaborate with a wide range of organizations, public agencies, and community groups, to produce research that helps us better understand and improve public health.

Programs & Degrees

Our degree programs share one mission: to produce graduates who deeply understand public health, and have the skills to improve the health of our communities. We offer flexible degrees, online or in person, as well as dual master’s degree programs in social work, medicine, and urban and regional planning.

Access & Equity

The OHSU-PSU School of Public Health understands that fostering a diverse and inclusive environment is vitally important to our mission. We believe that a welcoming climate improves our teaching and our research, and is critical to our societal goal of ensuring that everybody has the opportunity to benefit from good health and to live to their full potential, across the nation and around the world.
