Plaza de Nuestra Comunidad (Plaza) is seeking a dedicated, and bilingual, Garden Program Assistant to support the Garden Program team in the maintenance and programming associated with our new Cottage Grove Garden as well as the administration of the Garden Program in general. This team is fully bilingual in Spanish and English and we are seeking a teammate who is also Spanish/English bilingual and preferably speaks or understands Mam.

Our Garden Program supports around 200 Latinx and immigrant households in growing their own organic produce in seven community gardens, located across Lane County. Our work is dynamic and includes remote administrative tasks, hands-on “in the dirt” projects, and in-person community events. This position will regularly collaborate with program members as well as community partners and volunteers to accomplish gardening projects and to offer community events. For this reason, it is necessary that the Garden Program Assistant is respectful, dependable, adaptable, and an effective communicator.
