POSITION: Academic Coach (3)

• Academic-year commitment required (Fall 2025 through Spring 2026)
• Continuation of position will be based on regular observations, mentoring and feedback provided by Asst. Director

 
WAGE:

• $19.00/hr for 15-20 hours/week
• This position is not eligible for tuition remission
• This is not a Graduate Assistant or GTA position and applicants must not be GAs or GTAs when this position begins

 
START: Fall Term 2025
 
REQUIRED TRAINING: Attendance at Academic Coaching training sessions on Tuesday through Thursday, September 16th – 18th, 2025 and Winter Retreat on Saturday, January 31st, 2026.

Position Summary

Student Academic Support Services invites applicants for the position of an Academic Coach. We are looking for three graduate student coaches. Bilingual candidates and/or those with a STEM or education background strongly preferred. Reporting to the Asst. Director of Academic Coaching, this position will coach new, returning, and current PSU students in academic skills, motivation, self-management, and goal setting. Additionally, the academic coaches will help create and facilitate presentations, services and resources that support student retention, academic success, and individual student support.
