Wonderfolk Board of Directors Member

Website Wonderfolk
Wonderfolk is in the business of providing the most unique, intentional and innovative youth advancement opportunities for Portland’s motivated lower-income and BIPOC high schoolers in the Portland metro area. As we grow our board, we’re looking for dynamic, invested board members to join us in a time of growth, energy and lots of wins.
Our students have told us they want more of what we do – so we listened. Wonderfolk recently laid out a strategic plan that will see us double our population served and expand multi-year programming through 2029. We’re energized and ready to work, and we are looking for professionals to join our team. We are looking for professionals in the Portland area who have experience: serving on nonprofit boards, growing nonprofits, and in business development, finance/accounting, business operations, youth development and/or equity and inclusion work.
We serve lower-income, BIPOC, first-generation, LGBTQIA+ high school students and encourage individuals who share similar lived experience to apply. Wonderfolk values multiple perspectives to create inclusive spaces where equitable opportunities can thrive.
Our team is a close-knit group of passionate people who love the work we do and love the people we do it with.
If this sounds like a fit and you are in a place to offer 3-5 hours a month as a board member, we’d love to hear from you. Please fill out our Board Interest Form and we will get back to you.
Please reach out to our Executive Director Mark Bennett at mark@wonderfolk.org for any questions. We’re excited to hear from you!
