Celebrating the new Vanport Building
On Tuesday, December 7, a virtual grand opening was held for the newest building on the Portland State University campus in downtown Portland. The Vanport Building is a collaborative partnership of PSU, Oregon Health & Science University, Portland Community College and the City of Portland. The City of Vanport, for which the building is named, and the flood that wiped it from the map hold many lessons for us now as we focus on racial justice and continue to serve our diverse and brilliant students.
