Biography
Dr. Tredway received her doctorate in Physical Cultural Studies from the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Maryland under the guidance of Patricia Hill Collins (from the Department of Sociology), the world-renowned scholar of intersectionality. Her research focuses on improving access to breast cancer care and treatment for women, especially those who are socially marginalized due to race, sexual orientation, or gender expression.
