Twelve SPH Students Recognized For Excellence

The OHSU-PSU School of Public Health’s Student Leadership Council (SLC) presented its Annual Public Health Conference showcasing the work of students in the field of public health on Thursday, April 8, 2021. The conference, held virtually this year, provides a special opportunity for students to present their abstracts to peers and public health colleagues. Presentation topics can include, but are not limited to, class projects or papers; research projects or designs; literature or policy reviews; field experience; and professional experience. This is an interdisciplinary event open to students, faculty, public health professionals, and community members. You can read more about the presentations and the posters on the event website.

In addition, SPH Dean David Bangsberg presented awards to this year’s “Outstanding Students” for excellence in research, mentorship, and service:

About the Student Leadership Council

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) is the student governance  structure for the School of Public Health. SLC acts as the student voice for the School of Public Health. Our mission is to promote advocacy, collaboration, openness, respect, and equity among students. Student leadership council members work with their constituents, faculty, and administration to coordinate student events, provide valuable insight, and promote academic excellence.
