SUMMARY:Why Are We Fighting Yet Another War in the Middle East?
DESCRIPTION:Once again\, the US and Israel are attacking Iran. The Trump administration has advanced several contradictory war objectives\, most prominently the destruction of Iran’s capacity to build a nuclear weapon. That objective was supposedly achieved by he previous US-Israeli attack on Iran. In his first term\, President Trump unilaterally abrogated the “Iran nuclear deal” (the JCPAO) although according to the stringent inspection regime there was no evidence that Iran was violating that agreement. So what gives? Why did the US and Israel launch a new war on Iran on Feb. 28? \nTuesday\, May 19th at 4 pm\nPSU: SMSU (Smith Memorial Student Union) Rm 294\n1825 SW Broadway Portland OR 97201 \nModerator: Nidal Betare\nSponsored by PSU YDSA & DSA Palestine Solidarity/BOS \n  \nPanelists:\nUoel Bein in is the Donald J.
