The St. Louis Children’s Hospital Administrative Fellowship is a comprehensive, fellow-driven two-year program designed to provide top recent graduates with exposure to practical experience in critical areas of healthcare management through project-based learning, focused mentoring, and leadership opportunities.

Fellowship Structure

Year 1: The first year focuses on developing project management skills, building mentor relationships across clinical and non-clinical departments, and engaging in meaningful project work, coaching, and shadowing under rotation mentors, alongside long-term projects.

Year 2: The second year is designed to accelerate learning and further develop the fellow’s professional skill-set in specific areas based on the fellow’s interests and organizational need.

Executive Mentorship

Our fellows receive incredible mentorship from our preceptor, Michele McKee, Vice President of Finance & Strategic Planning and Women & Infants Services. Fellows receive regular exposure to the rest of the executive leadership team as well.

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is the singular pediatric hospital within the BJC HealthCare system—the largest employer in Missouri, with over 15 hospitals in the greater St. Louis region. As the pediatric teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis Children’s Hospital offers nationally recognized programs for physician training and research.
