OHSU-PSU School of Public Health Committees
At our school, we take pride in fostering a community that prioritizes the well-being of its students, staff, and faculty. One of the pillars supporting this commitment are our public health committees. These committees serve as dynamic platforms dedicated to addressing various aspects of students education and engagement in SPH community.
Comprising of dedicated staff, faculty members, and student representatives, these committees actively engage in initiatives that support of the committees mission and responsibilities. Through these collaborative efforts, we aim to foster a campus culture that values and prioritizes the collective well-being of our entire school community.
Academic Policy and Curriculum Committee (APCC)
The Academic Policy and Curriculum Committee (APCC) reviews, advises and makes recommendations to the Dean and the AD/AA on matters pertaining to the SPH academic policies and curricula.
Academic Personnel Committee (APC)
The Academic Personnel Committee (APC) consists of twelve voting faculty members representing academic areas of focus, degree levels, appointment categories, and both institutions.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEIC)
The DEIC provides advisory support, guidance, and recommendations on recruitment and retention of students, faculty, and staff from diverse and underrepresented populations. As well as recommends strategies that foster a welcoming and culturally-sensitive community for all students, faculty, and staff.
Student Affairs Committee (SAC)
The purpose of the Student Affairs Committee (SAC) is to develop and support activities that nurture the student experience and facilitate leadership development among students.
Professional Workforce Development Committee (PWDC)
The purpose of the Professional Workforce Development Committee (PWDC) is to collaboratively assess, prepare, collect, and offer ongoing training, technical assistance, and professional development activities for the current and future public health workforce.
Community Engagement Committee (CEC)
The CEC provides support, guidance, and recommendations on interactions with members of the community.
Research Committee
The purpose of the Research Committee is to advise the AD/R and develop and engage in activities that nurture the SPH’s research enterprise.
