ASPPH Webinar: Advocacy Across a Disrupted Public Health Landscape
Join ASPPH for an upcoming ASPPH Presents webinar, Advocacy Across a Disrupted Public Health Landscape, on Wednesday, November 19, from 12:00–1:00 PM ET. As recent federal inaction has prompted states to assume greater responsibility for public health decision-making, the system has become increasingly divided. This timely session will examine how advocacy can drive meaningful change amid a fragmented public health system.
The webinar will also explore how these dynamics are affecting public health policy, practice, and education across the country and highlight actionable ways the academic public health community can advocate for stronger, evidence-based approaches.
Speakers include Mark Mioduski, Senior Consultant at Cornerstone Government Affairs; Dr. Boris D. Lushniak, ASPPH Advocacy Chair and Dean of the University of Maryland School of Public Health; and Beeta Rasouli, ASPPH Director of Advocacy and Federal Relations. Tim Leshan, ASPPH Chief External Relations and Advocacy Officer, will moderate the discussion.
