Building Equitable Health Workforce Pathways: IGNITE Convening on January 14

The IGNITE Mentoring & Leadership Program at the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health will host the IGNITE Convening on Tuesday, January 14, from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM at Portland State University. This one-day event will bring together faculty, educators, and community partners to elevate the experiences of pre-health students and spotlight equity-driven programs that strengthen diverse and inclusive pathways into the healthcare workforce.

As Oregon actively works to address healthcare workforce shortages through the development of a Healthcare Industry Consortium, the IGNITE Convening offers a timely and complementary space for dialogue. By centering student perspectives and grassroots innovation early in the process, the convening helps ensure that future workforce solutions are equitable, responsive, and informed by those most impacted. Community partners including OHSU, Kaiser Permanente, Oregon Health Authority, and Multnomah County will be in attendance.

Community partners and faculty are encouraged to participate and lend their voices to this important conversation. RSVP to attend and learn more about the event, including the full agenda, by visiting the IGNITE Convening website.
