Meet Natalie Cetina-Huchin: Elected Student Speaker for PSU Commencement 2025
We’re thrilled to announce that Natalie Cetina-Huchin, a graduating senior on the Pre-Dentistry Track with a double major in Public Health and General Science and a minor in Biology, has been elected as the student speaker for the 2025 PSU Commencement Ceremony, taking place this Saturday, June 14, 2025.
Cetina-Huchin’s journey is a testament to leadership, service, and an unwavering commitment to health equity. A first-generation college student and proud advocate for her community, she has left a lasting impact on campus through a wide range of leadership roles:
- GANAS Peer Mentor, supporting fellow students in navigating their academic journeys
- Community Outreach Officer for MEChA, building partnerships that connect students with Latinx communities
- Council Delegate for Kappa Delta Chi, Inc., promoting academic excellence and cultural awareness
- Co-President of the Pre-Dental Student Organization, fostering peer learning and professional growth
- Co-President of the Women’s Collaboration for Pre-Health Students, creating inclusive spaces for aspiring health professionals
- Milestone Scholar in the School of Public Health, where she has developed as a scholar, leader, and advocate
Natalie’s vision is as inspiring as her achievements. As she shared:
As I move forward, I’m most excited to bridge public health and dentistry to improve access to oral care for underserved communities, while advancing education and prevention efforts that empower people to take charge of their oral health.
Her words reflect a deep understanding of the connections between oral health and overall well-being—especially in communities that have long faced barriers to care.
Please join us in celebrating Natalie Cetina-Huchin and the entire Class of 2025 this Saturday. We can’t wait to hear her powerful message as we send our graduates off to shape the future of health with purpose and compassion.
Congratulations, Natalie Cetina-Huchin—and thank you for representing the spirit, heart, and mission of our community.
