Roy Ball
Biography
My professional healthcare journey started many, many years ago as a CPR and First Aid instructor for the Red Cross. Along the way I had stops as a firefighter, an EMS and transport paramedic, bedside nurse in critical care and ED, advanced practice nurse in ED, critical care, med/surg, and outpatient, and as a program manager for the Department of Health and Human Services disaster response teams. I moved to Portland in September of 2013 after living in Baltimore for 13 years.
Currently, I am the Director of Patient Care Services for Legacy Good Samaritan in NW Portland. In this role I support the managers for the ED, ICU, ICU step down, oncology, med/surg, and rehab nursing units at Good Samaritan. I also support the manager for the respiratory therapy and sleep disorders center.
