You’ll learn how to use PubMed to construct more precise searches with more relevant results. We will also talk about methods to mitigate biases in your search, and some tips on leveraging AI to help enrich your search strategy. Whether you are new to information research or looking to sharpen your search expertise, this session will equip you with practical skills to improve your research process.

By the end of this session, learners will be able to:

• Use features of PubMed for efficient and effective searching, including crafting advanced Boolean queries with MeSH terms
• Use PubMed accounts to save searches and create search alerts
• Evaluate contextual authority and bias in PubMed and related tools and revise searches to mitigate those biases
