Japan Study Abroad Info Session
Study Japan’s innovative food education model through school visits, farm tours, and community nutrition programs while exploring how culture, policy, and sustainability shape public health outcomes. Students in this program will visit Tokyo, Kobe, Kamakura, and Hakone.

Program Overview
This short-term faculty-led program in Tokyo explores community nutrition and food systems in Japan through site visits, guest lectures, and cultural experiences. Students will examine school lunch programs, elder care nutrition, food access, and sustainability while engaging with local experts and institutions. An extended regional excursion offers insight into agricultural practices and regional foodways. Through experiential learning and reflection, participants gain a global perspective on health, nutrition, and cultural approaches to food. Students in this program will visit Tokyo, Kobe, Kamakura, and Hakone.
