PHE 215 – Why Public Health Needs Indigenous Values: Intro to Decolonizing Public Health
Course Information
As a gateway course of the OHSU-PSU undergraduate Indigenous Health Concentration, this foundational course will engage in concepts of Indigenous values, knowledge and perspectives and launch students into concepts of racial healing and racial justice for health equity. This course will introduce students to a decolonizing framework to advance health equity that centers on the strengths of Indigenous peoples.

Interprofessional Education Course Schedule
Interprofessional education occurs when students from two or more professions learn about, from, and with each other to enhance collaboration and improve health outcomes. At least 1 credit of Interprofessional Education is required by all MPH degree programs.
Most courses with OHSU subject code IPE (Inter-Professional Education) or UNI (University Curriculum) satisfy the Interprofessional Education requirement. Other courses may also serve; consult your advisor.
