Anna Steeves-Reece
Biography
Anna Steeves-Reece is an Investigator at OCHIN with an affiliate appointment in the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. With training in public health, medical anthropology, and Latin American studies, Anna uses qualitative methods to ensure that the perspectives of patients and health professionals inform meaningful recommendations for both identifying and strengthening healthcare and public health interventions. She has used multiple study designs to examine research topics from complementary vantage points. As an OCHIN Investigator, Anna has concentrated on the improvement and evaluation of Community Health Center (CHC)-engaged research methods through NIH- and PCORI-funded studies. Her research projects cover topics related to healthcare-based social care interventions, state-level paid family and medical leave policies, and how CHCs are impacted by and can respond to extreme weather events — especially heat and poor air quality — in the communities they serve.
